Animation, music, character designs and writing not that great but who cares? The movie itself is great so why let the little things ruin it. The movie covers a lot of issues that preteens deal with and has a wonderful message to it. See the movie for what it really is, a coming of age story that teaches valuable lessons.
These days if an animation was really amusing, I'd become more excited than a movie because the amount of the rude behaviors in animations are literally being controlled and I feel well after watching them.
